Upcoming Public Hearings
Monday, July 6th, 2020 at 6:00 PM
Public hearings take place in Council Chambers at Nelson City Hall (2nd Floor, 310 Ward Street). All persons who deem their interest in the property to be affected by the amending bylaws may be heard.
Written or verbal submissions concerning an application can be made at the Public Hearing. If you are unable to attend the Public Hearing, please submit your comments in writing to the Development Services and Engineering Department prior to 3:00 pm on the Friday prior to the public hearing.
Due to the COVID-19 public health pandemic, it is highly encouraged to consider sending a written submission to Council rather than attending the public hearing in-person to present verbally. If you are not attending the Public Hearing in-person, please submit your comments prior to 3:00 pm on Friday, July 3rd, 2020. Written submissions can be delivered by mail or in-person to City Hall, or preferably by email. If you intend on attending in-person, please RSVP to Sonya Martineau (250-352-8234) prior to 3:00 pm on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 in order to assist us in planning for a safe public meeting with sufficient physical distancing. All verbal comments or written submissions must include your name and civic address and will become part of the public record pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Public Hearing-Exempt: Bylaw No. 3496, 2020
On June 1st, 2020, at a regular meeting of Council, City Council voted to not hold a public hearing for the following Zoning Amending Bylaw:
