[ARCHIVED] Anderson Street Infrastructure Upgrade Update - May 11, 2020

Anderson Infrastructure Project

The underground infrastructure works are now complete for the Anderson Street Infrastructure Upgrade project. The water mains are in service and all of the service lines are connected.

Surface restoration works are underway, with concrete works scheduled to wrap up May 11. Boulevard restoration and paving of the trenches are scheduled for May 12 and 13. The contractor is scheduled to clean up the work zone May 14, demobilizing by the 15.

Regarding traffic disruption, the paving is scheduled for May 13, weather dependent. The paving setup will be extensive and short stoppages are to be anticipated; however, the traffic control personnel will attempt to maintain two-way traffic. Traffic will be slowed substantially through the construction zone while the paving contractor is set up.

Due to sidewalk construction, portions of sidewalk will also be closed until the concrete cures; however, signage directed toward pedestrians will be erected well in advance. Please be mindful of the work/cone zone, all signage, and traffic control personnel.

The below photo is taken looking Northeast, at the intersection of Front Street and the 100 block of Anderson Street. The crew is working to re-establish concrete curbs, sidewalks, and letdowns prior to paving.
