The most recent water quality testing at Lakeside Park Beach indicates that recreational water quality is no longer impacted, and E.coli bacteria levels are now below the Health Canada Recreational Water Quality Guidelines of 400 colony forming units (CFU) per 100 ml (latest laboratory results indicate 40 CFU/100 ml). Water quality is typically sampled weekly at Lakeside - or more frequently during episodes of impacted water quality.
In consultation with the Interior Health Authority, the City of Nelson is lifting the Swimming Advisory originally issued on July 29th.
