Residential Garbage pickup week of June 28th - July 2nd.
Due to the intense heat we are currently experiencing, we are asking for your help during the residential garbage pick-up for this week.
Our crews will be requiring additional micro-breaks to maintain adequate body temperature and to keep hydrated as the day heats up. We are concerned our crews may not be able to attend to all the garbage on our daily routes and we are looking to residents to assist us in lightening the load.
If you are willing and able, we are inviting residents to drop-off their orange tagged garbage bags in lieu of curbside pick-up this week.
This does not include recycling. Your blue bins can be put out as normal.
We have established a large yellow bin across from the airport hangers at 90 Lakeside Drive. These bins will be locked overnight but available from 7:00am until dusk each day.
Reminder, there is no waste collection on Thursday, July 1st. Please put your waste out on Friday, July 2nd, or take it down to the yellow bin.
If for any reason we miss a residents' garbage this week we encourage them to bring down their garbage to the above location. This would be extremely helpful. Residents can drop off their garbage any day this week during the hours mentioned above regardless of which day is your regularly scheduled day.
If for any reason this is impossible, we will look into solutions for later that day but cannot guarantee in any timeframe due to scheduling.
