The project replacement project is underway with site works proceeding last week. The site and laydown area has been fenced and the work trailer is present on site. Please observe all construction signage when travelling adjacent to the project area.
The deconstruction of the existing gazebo’s roof structure occurred last week. The gazebo is being deconstructed in order to make way for the construction of the new Ladybird display building. Work to deconstruct the gazebo footings will proceed this week, as well as starting the formwork for footings.
The preparation work that is required so that the demolition of the pier can proceed, started last week with the mobilization of the pier contractor and the installation of the containment boom. The demolition of the pier will begin this week and will proceed over the next couple of weeks before piling can begin for the new pier structure.
