Gyro Park Pool in Nelson is set to kick off the summer season on July 10. Gyro Park Pool is the perfect spot for kids and caregivers to beat the heat.

Due to temporary staff shortages, the pool will be opening its doors a little later than normal this year. We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our amazing community as we work to fully staff the facility.

Managed by the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK), the staff at Gyro are dedicated to providing a safe and fun experience for everyone. A big thanks to all the RDCK and City of Nelson staff that have helped to make this happen.

- Opening Date: July 10th, 2023

- Days of Operation: Monday  thru Friday

- Operating Hours: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM

- Open on BC Day (August 7)

- The Nelson & District Youth Centre will host Youth Summer Camps on Tuesday mornings at the pool (not open to the public - must be registered via NDYC)

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delayed opening and hope your family is able to get out and enjoy the pool on July 10th and beyond. In the meantime, the Splash Park is open at Lion’s Park and Lakeside Beach & Park offer sun, fun, activities and shade all summer long!
