NOTICE TO PUBLIC - POTENTIAL ICY/SLIPPERY ROADS & SIDEWALKS

Our Public Works crews would like to advise residents that there is a potential for icy and hazardous road and sidewalk conditions early tomorrow morning (Friday, February 9).

A high pressure system moving into the interior could bring rain this evening followed by a rapid drop in overnight temperatures. Icy road and sidewalk conditions may occur and could continue throughout the weekend and into next week as we may see daytime melting followed by freezing overnight.  

City of Nelson crews will be out in force, but we encourage residents to avoid unnecessary travel, and exercise extra caution if you must travel, should the roads and sidewalks freeze.
