Most of the bike route project work has been completed along Third Street. The next step of the project is to complete the High Street component. Given that this is a key component for active transportation for pedestrians, sidewalk improvements have been included in the project.
As a reminder, this project is not creating a one-way on High Street. The corridor will become what is called a Neighbourhood Bikeway which allows two-way traffic. Traffic counts and speed are managed by way of speed humps and intersection closure.
