The Nelson Police Department is currently hiring experienced, sworn exempt police officers. 

The current salary for a First-Class Constable is $122,897.17 with the opportunity for paid overtime. Please note the Nelson Police Department recognizes and values prior Canadian police service. Your wage will be indexed according to your total recognized years of service with a Canadian police agency, ensuring fair and competitive compensation aligned with your experience.

Current serving police officers from outside of Canada do not qualify as an exempt officer candidate. Non-Canadian police officers would enter into the candidate selection process as a new recruit.
