Home Owner Grant

Effective January 1, 2021, the Province of BC is responsible for the Home Owner Grant program.  All home owner and retroactive grant applications must be submitted directly to the Province using their online system at www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant.

Property Tax Payment

The City of Nelson offers several options for the payment of property taxes: online, in person, or in advance through a pre-authorized payment plan.

City Hall

At City Hall payment can be made by cash, debit, credit card, or cheque.

Drop Box

The City offers a 24 hour drop box located at the front of City Hall.

Credit Card

Use our online services to pay by credit card. A 2.4% fee will be applied.

At Your Bank

Pay your bill at most banks and credit unions.

Online Banking

Pay through your financial institution’s online banking. Please check bank processing times to avoid penalties.
