If you need an immediate response from police, fire, or ambulance, please call 911.
Some examples of when to call 911 for police include:
- an immediate threat to someone’s safety or life, such as screams, attacks, gunshots, and car accidents with injuries
- an in-progress crime, like a fight or a break-in, or a report of an impaired driver
- a serious crime that has just happened, like a sexual assault or a robbery
- suspicious circumstances or people that could indicate a crime is about to happen, such as a prowler

Non-Emergency
For all other police matters, please dial 250-354-3919 and an operator will assist you or direct your call to the appropriate person within the Nelson Police Department.
